Black & gay, young & conservative. A Southern gentleman writes about life and politics after Yale

Howdy, y’all!

First off, thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your stay. If you don’t already know me, I’m an Army brat from a Southern family with a near-religious devotion to college football, good whiskey, and politics. I went to Yale but came out conservative. I’m openly gay and refuse to live in the Blue States. I’m young, suburban, and love country music. I’m black and have been accused of being “articulate.” I fear civilization is crumbling into the hell of the Nanny State, and yet, I’m an eternal optimist. Stereotypes are wonderfully hilarious.

If you’re somehow not too appalled, bemused, chagrined, or dumbfounded to keep reading, welcome to the conversation.

  1. I love your articles!!! Every article hits the spot for me! I’m just another gay, white, female, veteran, and very strong conservative!! Do you have a facebook page where you post??

  2. I wanted to comment and say something on one of your other posts, but anything I could say would just be bland compared to you.
-A Carolina girl who may not be black or gay, but likes you just the same.

    • I’ve never met a Carolina girl who couldn’t her own in a battle of wits, or any other kind. My blog is already better for having you, and I hope you stick around.
